Wishing you all a very Bright and Happy New Year! 2019 is here... and with the new year come, new commitments, new ideas and new beginnings! I want to make this post about reflecting on the past year and share some ideas and plans for this year. Since day 1 of 2019, I have felt a different kind of energy that this year is going to bring. It certainly feels very optimistic and a positive year. A lot seems to be happening and I will be sure to keep you up to date as I go.
2018 by far was one of the most interesting and colourful years of my life, both personally and professionally. I went to so many new places, had great experiences, met some wonderful people and learned new things. I shared my work with a lot more people than I have ever before. It was great to experience people's reaction and feedback first hand and a pleasure to see them enjoy art as much as I do. I also worked alongside some other artists, shared my stories and learned from theirs.
Until February 2018, I had no idea what the rest of the year had in store for me. As usual, I was somewhat restless to experience something new and explore an uncharted territory. Things finally started to roll around April and somehow I ended up in Los Angeles. After that, everything felt like a sweet ride, I found myself in all kinds of new places, making new stuff, meeting new people and just living a simple, joyful and colourful life. (More about that here: Hey I'm In California and here Wow I'm Still In California-o)
I was finally back in London around November when the great Wimbledon Art Fair took place which was an interesting show to be part of. It was a four day affair and takes place twice a year. I met more artists and had even more fun! The fair is back on this year in the summer, from the 9th-12th May. I will post more details once I have more information. But you can always check out the website: https://www.wimbledonartfair.com.
Other than that, I have a few major things lined up which I believe will start rolling from around end of February. I am working on new pieces and I'm thrilled to be investing this time and energy on something I love so much. I hope that whatever comes next will bring the viewers and collectors, the same sense of joy and adventure that it brings me when I am working on it.
Until then, I hope you all have a great start to the New Year and may you continue to dream and live a life that brings joy to you and to everyone around you.
